Remember My Pill
Privacy policy
Effective 13 October 2026
- Your medicines, doses and health logs are kept on your phone, in an encrypted database.
- You can use the app without an account. Then nothing about your medicines leaves your phone.
- With an account, they're backed up to our servers so you can restore them, and shared with a family member's phone only if you set that up.
- We never sell your data, never use it for ads, and use no analytics or tracking.
- Nothing is sent to AI unless you ask the app to read a prescription photo with AI, and agree first.
Who we are
Remember My Pill ("the app", "we") is made by Atomicle Labs. If you have a question about your data, write tohelp@remembermypill.app.
What the app keeps on your phone
The people you care for, their daily routines, medicines, schedules, the doses taken, skipped or missed, your health logs (blood pressure, water, urination, bowel movements, symptoms) and your settings. They're stored in an encrypted database on your phone. Alarm and notification text sits on the lock screen; "Hide medicine names" in Settings › Alarms turns medicine names into "Medicine time".
Exports and the report for a doctor are made on your phone and handed to the share sheet you choose. We don't receive them, and the temporary file is deleted once the sheet closes.
What we receive
Without an account
- Crash reports, if the app crashes (see below). You can turn them off in Settings › Privacy & data.
- Your subscription, handled by the App Store or Google Play and by RevenueCat, which tells the app whether you're subscribed. RevenueCat sees an anonymous ID and your purchase, never your medicines or people.
- A prescription photo, only if you ask the app to read it with AI (see below). Reading on the phone, the default, sends nothing.
With an account
- Your sign-in: your email address, or the identity Apple or Google gives us when you sign in with them, and your name if you give one.
- A backup of what's on your phone (the list above), kept on our servers so it can be restored on a new phone and kept in step across your phones.
- Your subscription status, checked with RevenueCat, so a family member's phone you set up is covered by it.
Family link
If you set up a family member's phone, that phone gets an account of its own and receives only that person's medicines, routine and doses. Their answers (taken, skipped) come back to your account. To warn you when a dose is missed, their phone sends us the times of their doses for the next two days (medicine identifiers and times only). You get push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging and, on iPhone, Apple's push service: the text names the person and the time ("Dad missed a dose at 1:30 PM"), never a medicine. Either side can stop sharing at any time.
Reading a prescription with AI
Only when you tap "Read it with AI" and agree, the first time on that phone, the photo is sent through our server to OpenRouter, which passes it to Google Gemini to read the medicines on it. It's sent with data collection turned off and zero data retention, it isn't used to train AI, and neither we nor the app keep the photo or what was read. Nothing is added until you've checked it.
Crash reports
Release versions of the app send crash reports to Google's Firebase Crashlytics: the device model, OS version, app version, what the app was doing when it crashed, and your account ID if you're signed in. They never contain medicine names, doses or people's names. You can turn them off in Settings › Privacy & data.
On Android: reading text on the phone
Scanning a box or a prescription reads the text on the phone with Google's ML Kit. The photo and its text never leave the phone, but ML Kit sends Google usage statistics about the device, the app and its performance, which can't be turned off. On iPhone, Apple's text recognition sends nothing.
Messages to support
Messages you send from Settings › Help & feedback, and feature requests sent from the app or this website, are kept on our servers so we can answer and keep track of them: what you wrote and the email address you gave, and from the app its version, your phone's system and the app's language. Nothing from the app's data is added. A vote on a feature request is kept with a random number your phone or browser makes up, so it counts once; it isn't tied to your account or your name. Please don't write medicine names or health details. Write to us to have a message deleted.
This website
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics. If you join the waitlist, we keep the email address, with the language and country your browser reports, only to email you when the app is out; one click in that email removes you, or write to us.
Who processes data for us
| Service | What for |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Our servers and database (accounts, backups, family links), sign-in emails, this website and its waitlist |
| Google Firebase | Crash reports; push notifications for the family link |
| Apple | Sign in with Apple; push notifications on iPhone; App Store purchases |
| Sign in with Google; Google Play purchases; ML Kit on Android | |
| RevenueCat | Subscription status |
| OpenRouter and Google Gemini | Reading a prescription photo with AI, only when you ask |
Each of them uses the data only to provide that service to us. We don't share or sell data to anyone else.
How long we keep it
On your phone, until you delete it. On our servers, while your account exists. Deleting your account (Settings › Account › Delete account) deletes everything in it from our servers at once, ends your family links, and revokes Sign in with Apple. Without an account, Settings › Privacy & data can delete everything on the phone, and deleting the app deletes it too.
Your choices and rights
- See and take your data: Settings › Privacy & data › Export makes a file of everything.
- Correct it: change anything in the app.
- Delete it: delete your health logs, everything on the phone, or your account, in Settings.
- Turn off crash reports in Settings › Privacy & data.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California) you may have further rights, such as to object or to complain to a data protection authority. Write to us and we'll answer within 30 days. Health data is processed only with your consent, which you give by entering it and can withdraw by deleting it.
Security
The database on your phone is encrypted. Everything sent between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to our servers is limited to what's needed to run the app.
Children
The app is meant for adults, including parents and caregivers who manage a child's medicines. We don't knowingly let children under 13 (16 in the EU) create accounts.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
